See Your Project Come To Life With Home Design Software

Wouldn’t it be nice to see your extension, alteration or second floor come to life?  Check out this major renovation done by Doug Cornwell that was an enlargement of an existing small three bedroom house.
The prior house was a red clay tile roofed, Spanish style home.
Since this is situated on a large inlet with tremendous views of both the water and the hillsides, we opened up the wall areas to expand the views. We extended the house 4 feet in one direction and 6 feet in the other direction and made it into a 4 bedroom and 4.5 bathroom home.
There are 2 master bedrooms with an ensuite and 2 secondary bedrooms that can either be a king bed or separated to be 2 beds with a nightstand in the middle.  The secondary bedrooms are slightly smaller but also have their own bathroom.  Each bathroom has a shower, double vanity, toilet and bidet.
The ceilings upstairs are sloped, going from 16 feet to 10 feet for a nice architectural feature and the downstairs ceilings are 10 feet with wall to wall glass on the back to enhance the landscape.  The laundry was also moved to the upstairs for easy access.
The main floor was completely gutted and redone to include an expanded kitchen, bar area, living room, half bath and triple sliders to make it an indoor-outdoor living area.  To separate the kitchen and living room, there is a glass railing and 2 steps up.  The sliders that go out onto the deck are made up of three Hurricane proof doors and security screens.
On the outside we completely redid the deck and pool, changing the pool from a square to an L shape to gain more room. There are glass railings on the deck, terrace and along all the staircases.
The project is currently at the mid-point in the construction phase, set to finish before the end of the year.
